To maintain the integrity of their learning journeys within the Financial Technology Executive Institute (FINTEI) platform, all users accessing learning materials are expected to adhere to the following principles. Learners must familiarize themselves with and abide by FINTEI's Terms of Use, as well as any relevant codes of conduct, academic policies, honor codes, or institutional requirements linked to the programs they have enrolled in via the FINTEI platform.
Academic misconduct undermines the credibility of FINTEI's qualifications and diminishes the authentic efforts of fellow learners. Consequently, learners found engaging in such misconduct will face the consequences outlined below.
Academic misconduct is broadly defined as any activity that undermines or seeks to undermine the learning process provided by a course. This includes violations of course learning policies, instructor-specific guidelines, syllabus expectations, or any misrepresentation of authorship or conditions for completing course activities. The subsequent standards provide insight into common forms of academic misconduct, but it's important to note that this list is not exhaustive. Additional behaviors may constitute academic misconduct within specific courses or throughout the entire FINTEI platform.
Work within a FINTEI activity encompasses all actions performed on the FINTEI platform, ranging from logging in to actively participating in various course-related activities. This comprehensive scope includes but is not limited to tasks such as taking exams, completing quizzes, engaging in peer review assignments, submitting assessments, actively participating in discussion boards, undertaking guided projects, and participating in labs. Additionally, it's essential to note that any activities external to the platform, yet directly related to coursework conducted on the platform, are also subject to these defined policies. Concurrently, Unauthorized activities encompass actions that contravene FINTEI's Terms of Use, violate course or platform policies, engage in illegal activities, or breach academic standards and standards of integrity, which learners on the FINTEI platform should reasonably be aware of.
Violations
Consequences for Non-Degree Products
The appropriate sanctions for academic misconduct will be determined by FINTEI, taking into consideration the nature of the misconduct, the severity of the behavior, the importance of the assessment, and any prior history of misconduct by the user.
Please note that no refunds will be issued in the case of corrective actions for such violations. Determinations of Honor Code violations will be made at the sole discretion of FINTEI and its partners. Users will be notified if a determination has been reached that they have violated this Honor Code, and they will be informed of the corresponding action to be taken as a result of the violation.
